O caso Blair

Para os angloparlantes, trechinho de um email que recebi de um amigo que trabalha no Wall Street Journal, comentando o escândalo do repórter do New York Times; desculpem não traduzir, mas ainda estou passada com a história do desenho e continuo revirando a casa.
"The Jayson Blair scandal is just unbelievable. But I have to tell you one reason this has blown up so much is that the knives are really out for the editor, Howell Raines, who much of the staff doesn't like because he favored the "hungry" rookies over the older journalists and treated a lot of the respected veterens with contempt. Many also felt he had an agenda that reflected his personal liberal politics, and this played out in which stories were covered, how they were covered, and how they were played in the paper. So his critics, both inside and outside the paper, think this is just delicious. There are rumors that at least one other famous reporter there may have a fabrication problem, but I suspect it is more about embelishment than outright fabrication."
